Monday of Holy Week  – Mark 11. 15 – 18; Matthew 21. 23 – 46

Jesus had left Jerusalem the previous evening without any fuss, protest or excitement.
Now he returns and acts on what he sees as a desecration of the holy place.
Having cursed the fig tree on his journey from Bethany to Jerusalem, he enters the Temple and challenges the leaders and teachers.

After clearing out the dealers from the Temple he continues teaching.
