Coronation Reflection – Sunday 7 May 2023

I was glad when they said unto me,
‘We will go into the house of the Lord’ Psalm 122. 1

As we join in worship we remember all those
who have gone before us in the faith of Jesus Christ:
those who founded and built our Abbeys,
Cathedrals, Parish Churches and Chapels.
We give thanks for our church of St George
and for the freedom to worship without fear.

Loving Father, thank you for the gift of life
and for the freedom to love and worship You.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit inspire us to be your witnesses.

Grant us the courage to stand boldly and joyfully for the freedom of others
and encourage us to live out our faith and transform the world
in which we live. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
