November – the Month of Remembrance

November – the Month of Remembrance

The month of November is traditionally a time
in which Christians and the community
remember those who have died.
It brings to a close the Liturgical Year.

All Saints Day – 1 November

Give me the wings of faith to rise
Within the veil, and see
The saints above, how great their joys,
How bright their glories be.

All Souls Day – 2 November

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and rest;
Lay down, thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon My breast.”
I came to Jesus as I was, weary and worn and sad;
I found in Him a resting place, and He has made me glad.
