Palm Sunday  – Mark 11. 1 – 11

Reflection:

Hosanna means “save us!”

Zechariah 9. 9 speaks of a king:
‘victorious and triumphant is he, riding on a donkey’
A person riding a donkey comes in peace.

This victorious king when he has entered the Temple merely looks around and then leaves quietly.

The blessed palms are taken home and kept until they are brought back to church to be burned for the ash of Ash Wednesday.
