A message from St George parish church

From Fr Jeremy

Dear Friends
When we are unable to receive Holy Communion ourselves, in times such as these for example, we are able to make an act of Spiritual Communion in which we unite our hearts with the heart of Jesus in the Eucharist.  You may wish to pray this act of Spiritual Communion on Sundays and throughout the week, whilst public worship is suspended, as we look forward together to the time when we will all be able to receive Holy Communion again.

St George’s Church will remain open for private prayer each day, as noted below.  Our Clergy and Ministers will, as usual, be saying Daily Prayer in the morning at 8.00am, at noon and at 5.30pm.  Of necessity, these services will not be open to the general public, however, you can join in prayer with us from home, work or wherever you happen to be at these times, using the link to the texts below.  A priest will hold a Eucharistic Service on Sunday Mornings, before the church is opened to the public.

Please be assured of my love and prayers for yourself, our community and all affected by illness and anxiety in the days ahead.

With prayers and blessings.
Fr Jeremy
